Reduces electromagnetic waves by approximately 98% (material value) when worn
If only the front is covered with electromagnetic wave blocking material, like an office apron, electromagnetic waves will get in from the sides. Medical Aid's product (Fairy Veil Multi-Vest) covers the entire body and fits closely to the skin, so electromagnetic waves do not get in. Furthermore, in tests using a human dummy,It has been confirmed that protective clothing made from materials with too high a shielding performance (99.9% or more) can cause reflections and resonance inside the body, resulting in hot spots.※
If the shielding efficiency of a material is below 99%, the electromagnetic field strength inside the body will be uniformly reduced.

Furthermore, the types of electromagnetic waves that can be blocked are high-frequency electromagnetic waves such as those from wireless LAN, mobile phones, and microwave ovens; it is not effective against low-frequency magnetic fields such as those from induction cookers, motors, and power equipment.

Example: Malfunction verification test of electromagnetic wave protective clothing (CES protector) for capsule endoscopes
- In developing electromagnetic wave protective clothing for capsule endoscopes, protective clothing was created using MGnet 2-layer (approximately 40 dB) and MGnet 4-layer (approximately 60 dB) materials, and the capsule endoscope antenna was installed in seven locations on various parts of a human dummy. The capsule endoscope was embedded in the abdomen, and the person wearing each protective clothing was irradiated with electromagnetic waves in the frequency band of the telemeter, and the distance at which an error occurred was measured by moving the antenna closer.
- ・MGnet 2-layer (approx. 40 dB)：There was no variation in the distance at which errors occurred depending on the position of the seven antennas. The distance at which errors occurred was reduced almost uniformly.
- ・MGnet 4 layers (approx. 60 dB)：The distance at which errors occurred varied depending on the positions of the seven antennas, and errors occurred even from far away depending on the antenna position.

The silver fibers of the Fairy Veil Multi Vest reflect heat (infrared rays) emitted by the body and return it to the body. Metal allergy is a condition in which the skin reacts to metals and chloride ions contained in sweat, causing a rash. Silver is a safe metal that is extremely unlikely to cause allergic reactions.
