EMCboxQ&A

QSilver corrodes when subjected to sulfidation or chloride, but does this affect its durability?

AWhen silver is sulfurized, it becomes silver sulfide. When it becomes silver sulfide, its conductivity decreases, and its performance decreases. However, the EMC MGnet used in EMCtent is coated with conductive and rust-proof acrylic, so if you follow the precautions for use, it will maintain a stable electromagnetic shielding effect for more than 5 years.

QIs the silver material used in MGnet a special kind of silver?

AIt is made of 99.9% pure silver and has been treated to be corrosion resistant.

QWhat does EMC stand for?

AIt is an abbreviation of electromagnetic compatibility. It refers to the state in which the electromagnetic interference waves emitted by electrical and electronic equipment do not affect any other equipment or systems, and the equipment itself continues to function satisfactorily even when it is subjected to electromagnetic interference from other equipment or systems.

QIs this product fire resistant, fire weak, or flammable?

ASilver fiber is made of nylon, so it is flammable. However, it is not flammable. Even if it does catch fire, it will just melt and will not spread. However, if the temperature exceeds 200℃, the fiber will turn into glass and become brittle.

QIs the shielding performance of the joints and frame adequate?

AThe joints are specially sewn, which provides better shielding than MGnet. The frame is also covered with an aluminum frame, so the electromagnetic airtightness is equal to that of the material.

QThe size of the frame and the main body (fabric) were too tight, making it a little difficult to assemble the frame. Would it be possible to give the main body (fabric) a little more room?

ASince the net is made to be taut, it may be a little difficult to insert the frame, but it will become easier to insert as you repeat the assembly process. It is possible to make it with a little slack, but in that case the net may sag a little.

QThe product came with two cuffs, but is this included by default or is there an extra charge?

AUp to two retractable sleeves are provided as standard specifications.

QWhat are the external dimensions of the optional connector box?

AWidth 274mm x depth 173mm x height 100mm.

QI would like to shorten the length of the connector box's lead-in part as much as possible. How many centimeters would that be?

AWhen using a connector box, the distance from the EMCbox to the connector can be as short as 15cm. The product is equipped with a lead-in sleeve, but the length of the lead-in sleeve is usually 30cm. If you do not use a connector box, shortening the lead-in sleeve may make it easier for electromagnetic waves to enter.

QI would like to install a total of 11 power line filters, SMA connectors, and USB-A connectors in a connector box. Is this possible at standard price?

ACan be manufactured at standard price.

QRegarding the power filter for the connector box, would it be possible to attach one that is 20A or more?

AYes, that is possible. Please note that if you change the power filter to one that supports 20A, the standard of the socket will become IEC connector C20 (the pins are arranged horizontally).

QWhen a connector is implemented, what will the shape of the input side (EMCbox side) of the connector box be?

AThe idea is that there is a pull-in sleeve installed on one side of the EMCbox, and each cable comes out from there.
