Conductivity and Other Physical Properties

The table below shows the conductivity (surface resistance) and other physical properties. Additionally, it compares post-washing properties using different washing methods.

Initial (Warp/Weft) Washing: JIS L0217 Method 103 Washing: JIS 1042 Barkley Method DC5 (Warp/Weft) Remarks
HL5 (Warp/Weft) HL10 (Warp/Weft)
Surface Resistance (Ω/10×10cm) 1.4/3.0 1.6/4.0 2.4/3.3 2.2/4.8 See below
Shrinkage Rate (%) - 3–8/0 8–14 / -13 to -6 1/3 "+" indicates shrinkage, "−" indicates elongation
Tensile Strength (kgf) 3.1/2.2 - - - 2.5 cm width
Tear Strength (kgf) 0.2/0.2 - - - Single tongue method
Surface Resistance Measurement Method (Measurement Conditions)
  • 1. Sample Size: 120mm × 100mm (prepare both warp and weft directions)
  • 2. Electrodes (grip): 10mm × 100mm (contact area with the sample)
  • 3. Tester: HIOKI 3220 mΩ HI TESTER
  • 4. Place both ends of the sample between the electrodes at a 100mm distance
  • 5. Measure the resistance values in both warp and weft directions
