Test Criteria (Bacterial Reduction Rate) According to the SEK standard, an antibacterial activity value of 2.2 or higher is considered effective. This fabric showed a value of 5.8 or higher, indicating excellent antibacterial properties. *The SEK standard, defined by the Council for Functional Evaluation of Textile Products, includes the following criteria:
  • 1. Applicable Products: Textile-related products
  • 2. Display: Indicated as “Suppresses the growth of bacteria on textiles” or with the “SEK Mark”
  • 3. Test Method: Standard Test Method (Bacterial Suspension Absorption Method) compliant with JIS L1902
  • 4. Evaluation Criteria (Bacterial Reduction Rate): 2.2 or higher (Standard Test Method)
  • 5. Safety Standards: Acute oral toxicity, skin sensitization, primary skin irritation under the Chemical Substances Control Law
