EMC Simple RoomQ&A

QSilver corrodes when subjected to sulfidation or chloride, but does this affect its durability?

AWhen silver is sulfurized, it becomes silver sulfide. When it becomes silver sulfide, its conductivity decreases, and its performance decreases. However, the EMC MGnet used in EMCtent is coated with conductive and rust-proof acrylic, so if you follow the precautions for use, it will maintain a stable electromagnetic shielding effect for more than 5 years.

QIs the silver material used in MGnet a special kind of silver?

AIt is made of 99.9% pure silver and has been treated to be corrosion resistant.

QWhat does EMC stand for?

AIt is an abbreviation of electromagnetic compatibility. It refers to the state in which the electromagnetic interference waves emitted by electrical and electronic equipment do not affect any other equipment or systems, and the equipment itself continues to function satisfactorily even when it is subjected to electromagnetic interference from other equipment or systems.

QIs this product fire resistant, fire weak, or flammable?

ASilver fiber is made of nylon, so it is flammable. However, it is not flammable. Even if it does catch fire, it will just melt and will not spread. However, if the temperature exceeds 200℃, the fiber will turn into glass and become brittle.

QIs the shielding performance of the joints and frame adequate?

AThe joints are specially sewn, which provides better shielding than MGnet. The frame is also covered with an aluminum frame, so the electromagnetic airtightness is equal to that of the material.

QI would like to install two retractable sleeves. What are the advantages of attaching them to the bottom or vertically?

AWhen mounted on the bottom, the cable can be laid on the floor, allowing greater freedom in arranging the equipment inside the shielded room. When mounted vertically, the height can be freely selected, which is convenient when the cable you want to pass through is on the side of the wall.

QPlease explain about installing the retractable sleeve on the floor.

AIn some cases, the retractable sleeve may be attached to the center of the floor, but except in special circumstances, it will not be attached to the floor surface.

QWhere would be the most convenient location to install the connector panel?

AIt is more convenient to install the connector panel on a surface close to the device that will be connected to it.

QHow many connectors can be installed on a connector panel with the basic specifications?

A10 units can be installed with the basic specifications. LAN ports, USB ports, line filter power supplies, SMA type terminals, BNC terminals, N type terminals, etc. are possible. You may select multiple of the same item. If there are other connectors you would like, please specify the type and quantity.

QThe left and back sides of the room are planned to be adjacent to the wall, but if I were to install a connector panel or pull-in sleeve on the right side, where would be a good position?

AGenerally, it is placed on the far right side (closer to the wall). We can give you some advice if you can provide us with a floor plan of the room.
