This product reduces the radio waves emitted from smart keys by 20 to 50 times, preventing relay attacks. *For more information, please see What is a relay attack? below.
On the other hand, to disable the use of a smart key, the radio waves must be reduced to less than one hundredth of their original strength.
For these reasons, the smart key can be used without removing it from the bag, preventing relay attacks.
※This product is the same as the EM shielding bag used by the Ministry of Defense and nuclear power plants to protect satellite phones and other devices from electromagnetic waves emitted by pulse bombs.

What is a relay attack?
A smart key emits a weak radio wave of 125kHz or 134kHz. Relay A of the criminal group receives the weak radio wave by approaching (within 10m) the smart key left by the driver or at the front door, amplifies it, and transmits it to Relay B, who then transmits it to Thief C, who approaches within 1m of the car, unlocks it, starts the engine, and steals it.

Metal allergy is a condition in which the skin reacts to metals and chloride ions contained in sweat, causing a rash. Silver is a safe metal that is extremely unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Most common electromagnetic shielding materials use inexpensive metal plating such as nickel. Nickel dissolves more easily than other metals when it comes into direct contact with the skin, and if you sweat, it dissolves even more easily due to the action of chloride ions in sweat, so care must be taken.
Our "MGnet" products are designed with safety and intended use in mind, and are coated with silver to minimize the risk of metal allergies.
