The antibacterial test was conducted at the Osaka Branch of the Japan Chemical Fiber Inspection Association, as described below.

Test Sample MGnet
Testing Organization Japan Chemical Fiber Inspection Association, Biological Testing Center
Test Content Antibacterial Properties
Test Method Standard Test Method (Shake Flask Method, Viable Count Method)
Test Standard (Bacteria Reduction Rate) According to SEK standards, an antibacterial activity value of 2.2 or higher is considered effective. This fabric showed a value of 5.8 or higher, indicating excellent antibacterial performance. *The SEK standard, established by the Council for Functional Evaluation of Textile Products, includes the following requirements:
  • 1. Target Products: Textile-related products
  • 2. Labeling: Must indicate “Suppresses the growth of bacteria on textile” or display the "SEK Mark"
  • 3. Test Method: Standard method (bacterial absorption method) compliant with JIS L1902
  • 4. Evaluation Criteria (Reduction Rate): 2.2 or higher (standard method)
  • 5. Safety Standards: Acute oral toxicity, skin sensitization, primary skin irritation, etc. as defined by the Chemical Substances Control Law
